On my easel at the moment...

As you can see, there is quite a bit of work to do on this painting!  I am documenting this one as part of a 'How-to', that will be posted in the demonstrations section soon.

With any luck, one day I will be able to purchase a little camera that will allow me to do something like time-lapse photography so you can see how I put it together, or drag it onto the canvas, depending upon your point of view.

I am still painting this lovely rhino.  The beauty of using oil paints is that it is really easy to go back to a work that you have not worked on in a while, and it still has a fresh feeling about it when you go back.  Sometimes, I think that we just have to paint what we are feeling at the time, and all that I can think of are little boats.  If I cannot do justice to the subject in hand at the time that I am painting, I start something else that holds my enthusiasm.  As artists, we all impart our spirits to our work, and I would not like to produce empty paintings at all.
